On August 20, the Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue yellow warnings for high temperatures, which was the 10th day of the country's high temperature warning.
Maybe the little friends in the north are immersed in the coolness of "autumn autumn, high air" and "autumn rain," but the heat in the south is not diminishing, and the high temperature will still play a leading role in the next ten days.
Since the beginning of autumn on August 8, the high-temperature momentum in our country has not diminished. People can't help but sigh, "Autumn Tiger" is about to show its might?
Today's chat show, let's take a look at the situation of "autumn tigers in the country".
"Autumn Tiger" will be noticed in the next ten days!
The so-called "autumn tiger" is a common name for short-term hot weather that reappears after the beginning of autumn, and is not a term for meteorology.
After the fall of this year, the high temperature days in Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Guizhou and Sichuan reached 8 to 10 days, with the highest daily temperature reaching 37 ° C to 39 ° C, and the highest local temperature in Hubei and Chongqing reaching 40 ° C to 42 ° C.
Even if scattered precipitation occurs from time to time, it is still difficult to shake the footprint of "Autumn Tiger".
In the next ten days, the high temperature in the south will continue! The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that there will be many high-temperature weather in southern Shaanxi, western Huanghuai, western Jianghan, western Jianghuai, southern Jiangnan, northern southern China, and eastern southwestern China. The number of high-temperature days will reach 4 to 8 days, and the maximum temperature in these areas is generally 35 ° C to 37 ° C. In some areas, it can reach 38 ° C to 40 ° C.
Among them, Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, and Jiangxi not only have high temperatures but also last a long time. They can be described as the hottest. Nanchang, Wuhan, Changsha, Chongqing, and Guangxi are almost "fried" every day.
Continental High and Subtropical High Together
Generally speaking, during the alternate summer and autumn season from the end of August to the beginning of September, "autumn tigers" are most likely to occur in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, as well as in southern Jiangnan and northern South China. In a few years, traces of "autumn tiger" can be found in Huanghuai and North China.
Zhang Bo, a senior engineer of the Central Meteorological Observatory, explained that this is generally because after the fall, the subtropical high pressure will slowly retreat south from the Huanghuai area, but after a period of southward retreat, the subtropical high will sometimes intensify the northward lift again, and thus renewed. Control the area south of the Huaihe River to form a typical "autumn tiger" weather.
However, this year, since August 12, some areas in the south have "exploded the scale of inflammation", and high-temperature weather above 35 ° C has continued to occur. Zhang Bo explained that this is because in the past few days, parts of the south were controlled by the northwest airflow behind the ridges of high pressure. The sky had less cloud cover and increased radiation, and there were high-temperature weather with clear days, strong sunshine and strong temperature rise. Recently, with the development of the eastward shift of continental high pressure and the strengthening of the western Pacific subtropical high, the northward phase of the western Pacific subtropical high has strengthened. The two have been connected. In the future, the central and eastern regions of China will be controlled and large-scale high-temperature weather will occur.
The development of the mainland's high-pressure eastward development has been strengthened, and the northward elevation has strengthened the West Pacific Deputy High Stage, which has opened up. Shen Minxia / Cartography
It's a bite to be bitten
The high temperature after the beginning of autumn is compared to "tiger" because its harm is not small.
At this time, it is the key period for the grain filling of the middle rice. If high temperature occurs, it is easy to cause "high temperature forced ripening".
Huang Zhimin, an expert in agricultural meteorology at the Jingzhou Agricultural Meteorological Experimental Station of the China Meteorological Administration, pointed out that if the high temperature weather above 35 ° C for 3 consecutive days during the filling period, it will cause premature root failure, reduced leaf function, reduced chlorophyll content, and increased respiratory consumption. The photosynthesis decreased sharply, shortening the acceptance period of photosynthetic products, shortening the maturity period, filling is not full, and the dry grain weight decreased. Increasing leaf temperature will also increase transpiration and water loss, disrupt the balance of water metabolism in the body, weaken the grain filling ability, and promote the phenomenon of "high temperature forced ripening" when the grain matures quickly before it reaches fullness. Therefore, it is recommended to deepen the water layer in the field to cool down. For fields with premature senescence, when the temperature is lower in the morning and evening, moderate application of potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be applied to enhance its resistance to stress.
Meteorological experts said that due to the active cold air in northern China, the temperature difference may increase after the beginning of autumn, and it is necessary to pay attention to adding clothing in a timely manner; the high temperature in the south continues, and it is necessary to pay attention to heatstroke and cooling, supplement water, ensure sleep, eat more vegetables, fruits, and clear heat.
